Description

Back-up rings are used to prevent an o-ring extrusion under high pressures or big extrusion gaps. In some situation, back-up rings are also recommended in dynamic applications. The use of a back-up ring increases the pressure and temperature capability of o-rings.

Basically, there are 4 types of back-up rings: flat/uncut, split/angle cut, spiral and contoured back-up rings. PTFE is considered to be the most commonly used material for back up rings. NBR rubber back-up rings are generally for contoured back-up ring to conform to an o-ring.

3. What is your MOQ for back-up rings?

For back-up rings in stock, there is no specific MOQ; For new production, MOQ about 20pcs according to size and seal type.

4. How many percentage of the fillings in your F-PTFE materials?

For bronze filled PTFE generally 40%, for carbon fibre filled PTFE 15% to 25%.
